Make a film!
Instructions
- Tell your young people they have an opportunity to send a message to their group (or district) exec.
- Ask your young people what their favourite Scouting activities are and write down what they say in a mind map on the whiteboard.
- Organise the young people into teams and get them to plan a performance to show off their activity, get them to write it down using the pens and paper.
- Get the young people back together and ask them all if they would like to give a message to their exec (maybe asking them to organise an event, start a project, buy some new equipment, etc).
- Create a plan to the order you would like to film your Scouts (this could be done in one take, no editing if planned right).
- Film your young people acting out their planned performances and get a young person to speak their ideas at the end.
- Show this video at the next exec meeting.
Prompting questions
- What are your favourite activities you have done in Scouts?
