Leading the way!
The final week of the Lead badge, and we hope you’ve led the way for Youth Shaped scouting in Gloucestershire!
Over the last month, we have shared activities based on you leading the way through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, from talking about your favourite hobby (mine is the cinema for those who asked!) and all the way to holding conversations with key players in the community, and if you’ve done these things, you should be super proud!
Youth shaped scouting can be really difficult, and a challenge, I for one wouldn’t have felt confident enough to talk to my leaders about what I wanted to do, alright, I would have done, but my friends wouldn’t have and that counts right? Well, just reading this post, or even giving it a little bit of thought, you’ve taken a step in the right direction!
By now, hopefully you’ve had the chance to shape your scouting journey to what you want it to be, through planning, leading and getting your thinking caps on, and now you’re ready to represent scouting for the County. Represent is all about using the skills you’ve learnt and using them outside of Scouts, with other organisations and Young People.
