You may be surprised, but less than 20% of the users of the Cranham Scout Centre come from within Gloucestershire. Given its outstanding facilities the County Executive and Cranham Management Group need to understand why this is and we are therefore seeking your help please.
What does Cranham offer?
Cranham Scout Centre is situated in a lovely Cotswold valley on the edge of the village of Cranham. It comprises a main camping area, a residential centre with accommodation and onsite activities. There is also a wooded valley, called Daniels Grove, where there are smaller camping areas and further activities. The Scout Centre boasts 16 acres of woodland and fields and is surrounded by beech woodland to which we also have access.
Our main indoor accommodation sleeps 32. (4 rooms have bunk beds and two rooms have two single beds). The building includes a large hall with projector, surround-sound and Wi-Fi, separate dining room, large fully equipped kitchen with a food hygiene rating of 5, drying room, toilet and shower facilities.
The Cabin incorporates two units – one for sleeping and one for eating. The sleeping cabin contains bunk beds for 12 in 3 rooms (a two, a four and a six). The second cabin contains a well equipped kitchen and dining room area; there is also Wi-Fi. Toilet and shower facilities are situated close by.
Camping – the facilities include access to water standpipes, washing up shelters and toilet and shower blocks. The main sites have wooden cooking shelters. A fridge/freezer is available for use along with an electric hook-up.
