A great opportunity has come up if you want to continue t o support people in your Community in the Gloucester area.

Hi Everyone,

We, at The Venture, White City are doing a rather crazy summer project which sees us being commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council to deliver 136 open access family play sessions, 16,000 hot meals, 9696 family picnic bags and 9696 home cooking kits to families across Gloucester City! It’s all a bit nuts !

It’s all for a great reason though – we will be providing essential support to children and families, which we know is massively needed, particularly as we all try to navigate our way through the easing of the lockdown restrictions and enjoy connecting with others again.

The logistics of this project are massive and although we don’t have exact times at the moment, we do know that we are going to need a huge amount of volunteering support.

These are the dates that we will need support – this support involves unloading deliveries, packing bags and loading vehicles:

  • Tuesday 27th July – all day
  • Wednesday 28th July – all day
  • Thursday 29th July – all day

 

  • Tuesday 3rd August – all day
  • Wednesday 4th August – all day
  • Thursday 5th August – am only

 

  • Tuesday 10th August – all day
  • Wednesday 11th August – all day
  • Thursday 12th August – am only

 

  • Tuesday 17th August – all day
  • Wednesday 18th August – all day
  • Thursday 19th August – am only

 

  • Tuesday 24th August – all day
  • Wednesday 25th August – all day
  • Thursday 26th August – am only

 

Our base is Murray Hall, Tuffley Lane, Gloucester, GL4 0NU

This is a great opportunity to be part of a fantastic project that is going to make a real difference to the lives of a huge number of children and their families this summer.
