As we near the end of 2021,  Gloucestershire’s youth commissioners have been working on some plans ready for 2022. We are very excited to be bring the new You Shape Award into a new year and are looking forward to visiting sections and seeing what you are up to!

As leaders, you might be wondering what you can do to help your section be as youth-shaped as it can be. Here are some things to think about when planning your programme for the next term and year:

• We are here to help – contact your local youth commissioner to arrange a visit! We can help you start the You Shape Award, help out with running a forum and give you new ideas on how to be youth-led.
• Introduction sessions – we are looking to run some information evenings online about the You Shape Award and youth shaped Scouting in general so keep an eye out for those!
• Monthly focuses – we are going to be having monthly focuses from Febraury where we will focus on the different sections of the badge and give you ideas and resources for completing the badge.
• Youth Conference – watch this space for information on a Youth Conference we are looking to hold next year.

Hopefully this will give you some idea of what is to come next year and we look forward to supporting you all.
