Following our consultation of the membership over the summer and after more than a year of considering options for Cranham’s future, the Trustee Board has concluded that it is in the County’s interest to retain and develop the site for the future.
This follows strong support from across the County — with 90% of respondents to our consultation backing investment in the site. Feedback from members highlighted several observations and priorities, appreciating the current offering but identified that improvements are needed and how that might be achieved for future users of the site.
In response, the Trustees have ringfenced a substantial investment to kickstart improvements. While this funding lays the foundation, we will also be seeking external support to help enable Cranham’s next adventure.
The Trustees have made a 10-year commitment to Cranham’s continuing development and are energised by the opportunity to create a modern, inclusive centre that serves our whole membership. We will share our future vision for the site, but our commitment is clear: real change, delivered with purpose.
Volunteers will be key to Cranham’s future, and we’re actively looking for people to join the journey.
