What is GARGOYLE?

The Gloucester And the Rest of Gloucestershire Outstanding Young Leader Experience (GARGOYLE Team) is a group of enthusiastic supporters of the Young Leader Scheme who believe passionately that Young Leaders provide the basis for the future of Scouting.

GARGOYLE provides a focal point for Young Leader advice to the County. The team is a mix of experienced adults who have worked with the Young Leader scheme for many years as well as Young Adults who bring a fresh perspective and exciting ideas to help improve the way that the YL scheme is delivered. The team runs a County YL Training day in February and November, and Module A on request.

GARGOYLE can support and provide advice to YLs, Section Team members who work with YLs, Group Lead Volunteers, District Leader Volunteers, YL Team Leaders, District 14-18 Team Leaders, parents of young people who wish to volunteer with a scouting section as part of their DofE volunteering, in fact anyone who wants to know about young people aged between 13.5 and 18 who work with Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, or Scouts.
