SUMMARY:Archery Permit Holders (Leaders)
DESCRIPTION:We are planning to run regular Leaders only archery sessions at Cranham for those who hold a permit. In a similar way that the county climbing team do. The aim is to allow permit holders to shoot a little more regularly and improve their own shooting and give a level of CPD to aid permit renewal. \nThis will also allow us to share learning to improve the levels of archery in the county. If there is enough interest\, we may also be able to gain access to run a session at Deerpark Archers one of the South West’s premier clubs\, to have a go at using better quality equipment and shooting longer distances. They also have a field course and clout range. \nTo this end can I invite you to the first session at Cranham on Wednesday 8th July at 19.00hrs.

SUMMARY:Operation Bald Eagle 2026
DESCRIPTION:What is OBE? \nOperation Bald Eagle is a competitive skills & teamwork event. Scouts based in Herefordshire\, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire can participate. The event is in three part: \n\nThe Friday Night Challenge\nThe Saturday Day Challenges – around 30 activities situated on the campsite\nThe Night Incident Hike (a wide range of challenge & food bases done over an 8-mile course in under 6 hours)\n\nEach activity is important\, but the key to being successful rests with those who show good teamwork! Points are awarded in each part of the competition. The team gaining the most marks will will the OBE Eagle Trophy and teams winning individual areas of the event will receive certificates. \nConditions of Entry \n\nOpen to all Scout Troops in Scouts Hereford & Worcester and Scouts Gloucester\nScouts should preferably have a basic understanding of map reading\nTeams should have between 4 and 7 Scouts\nTroops can enter multiple teams\nCost: £40 per scout (plus your own food and transport costs)\n\n How to apply \n\nApplications open on 1st June – please download the application form HERE and submit from Monday 1st June\nEntries are accepted on a first come\, first served basis\nPlease make full payment by BACS at the time of application (Account Name: Hereford & Worcester Scouts; Sort Code: 40-52- 40;  Account No: 00011136)\nWe no longer accept cheques\n\nAlthough challenging\, this event is huge fun so it is very popular and spaces are limited.
