Help tell the story of Scouting in our County

Scouting changes lives — and we need great storytellers to help share that impact.

We’re looking for a County Communications & Media Lead and Communications & Media Team Members to help promote Scouting across the County, celebrate our volunteers and young people, and make sure our message reaches the right audiences.

These are flexible, volunteer roles that can be shaped around your skills, interests, and availability.

As a Team Leader you’ll:

• Lead and coordinate the County’s communications and media activity
• Develop a simple communications plan aligned with Scouting values
• Oversee social media, website content, and newsletters
• Support and guide a small Comms & Media Team
• Work with County leaders to promote events, successes, and opportunities
• Act as the main point of contact for media enquiries

This role could be perfect for you if you:

• Enjoy storytelling, marketing, or digital communications
• Are organised and happy working with others
• Have experience (or interest) in social media, PR, marketing, or content creation
• Want to make a real impact—behind the scenes
