It was a great pleasure to support 1^st Hatherley Scouts with their burns night this year to raise funds for their group.

 

The young people from the group’s linked Explorer unit Adder’s Tongue were cheery and ensured that all the guests had the best time. Among the guests were the County Youth Commissioner and the District Youth Commissioner for Stroud and Tetbury and I know they too enjoyed the evening. The entire event was put together by one of their Network aged leaders showing how important it is for our young people to lead and develop themselves. From Haggis and Neaps to ceilidh dancing on the floor, there were smiles all around and I would recommend people head along next year!

 

I am confident that the funds raised by the evening are going to support a highly youth shaped group with their amazing activities and programme which should take them across the globe.
