Following our hugely successful We Will Survive Camp in May, our County Commissioner, challenged the programme team to come up with something to sink our teeth into for June and July.

The wonderful District Team in The Forest of Dean holds a Water Activities Day every year and due to the current restrictions we are all under they have changed it to Water Activities Day at Home.  They have also allowed us as a County to join in all the fun.

There are 12 activities altogether and once they are completed there is a certificate which can be printed and kept.

To support you and your young people in completing this challenge we are getting various leaders, you may know some of them, from across the county to film themselves working through the challenges the hope being that you or your young people can follow along or complete them all in a day.  These videos will be added to this page each day over 12 days from Wednesday the 3rd June.

The last one will be shown on the actual Water Activities day which is the 14th June.  The 12th Challenge is designed to ‘Help Other People’, so don’t forget to remind your young people to bring their findings to you when we are back face to face Scouting.

Read more, see the videos and download the pack with instructions at this page.

We hope you will encourage your young people to take part and share lots of photos of them having lots of fun and joining in with the activities.  Photos can be uploaded to dropbox. These will be collected by Chris Meadows DCC Programme, for the promotion of Scouting and may be used in print or online, including our social media channels.
