"We will survive" camp - 8th May
Are you missing being on camp? Do you miss being part of something even bigger?
Yes? Well, take part in our Camp at home!
Celebrating the 75th VE Day Anniversary, this is a #campathome event for anyone involved in Scouting in Gloucestershire – Young People and Leaders alike.
We plan to provide a Live Stream or Zoom code so that we can all participate together virtually (this will be sent out using the contact
details provided below).
Date: 8th May (Bank Holiday Friday)
Timings: 18:00 for Beavers, 19:00 for Cubs, 20:00 for Scouts and 21:00 for Explorers/Network/Leaders.
Cost: The planned cost is £zero, however, we will produce a badge which will be available afterwards for a small fee.
Activities/Camp Objectives:
- Have fun!
- Involve the family.
- Meet new people virtually.
- Pack a bag.
- Build something to sleep in – tent, basha, den, shelter, inside or outside it doesn’t matter (just not your bed) and decorate it in a VE Day theme.
- Make or help make a meal and eat it.
- Build a fire – virtual or real and sing a camp song.
- Raise a flag or make a camp gadget.
- Learn something about what to do in the event of an accident.
- Clear up in the morning.
